Little ones ... I have zero confidence of seeing a mountable deer here on base. There is TONs of sign in the area I've been hunting but i think it's little bucks making it

Yea, this is why I felt a little weird posting my non-typical kill with my CB. I almost felt like a traitor, but my "tactics" were exactly the same as if I had been hunting with my compound. I experienced more all around pleasure, thrill, and a sense of accomplishment on this hunt than any other I've been on using my compound. It's all about the experience, not so much the weapon.

It's looking good, dude. Glad to see it's not all dark purple or anything

Yeah, I saw the Dr today and she was happy with the progress. It definitely could've been a lot worse.

Well giving it one more try at this before the lead starts flying tomorrow. Almost exact conditions it was Sunday when buck came strolling by so we'll see.

Why feel weird? There is a cross bow section here. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with gun kills, and several posters here get it for example Cooter shot a beautiful buck with his rifle he posted it in the watercolor section where off topic things get posted. It is about putting things where they belong. The title of the Website can not make it more evident, oh sure we can talk other topics but it isn't mainstream or the objective of the website.

How do we put you in the recycle bin? Seems to be all you do a lot of the times, recycle garbage trying to incite people.

We get it, you are the poster boy for hunting, ethics, and how to do things right the first time, every time.

I bow to your mere presence and thank you!

Man, my dad has had bucks chasing and tending does all day at our lease.
Tomorrow is gonna be crazy when the guns come out.

Clay county. I'm further south, no chasing at all. 2 bucks cruising this morning, not a doe in sight

Indeed. He has an 8 pt tending a doe in brush 70yards from him right now.
Earlier a doe ran by him being chased by a forky and one of the biggest bucks he's ever seen.
    And there was more.

The water running is going to make it hard to hear a deer.. But it sure sounds and looks pretty
