    Well today is the gun opener for Indiana so I decided to hang up the bow this weekend and pick up the 20 gauge. I have had alot of close calls with some good bucks so hopefully the savage can help me out.

    settled in only to have a quarter of an inch of ice coating everything. thank god i sit in a lone wolf. ifthis was a hollow tube stand it would be LOUD. today is the day. winds are half of what yesterday was.

    Gun opener in VT, hence the orange. I'm in the tree with the Bear Lights Out sitting over the apple trees on my property. Bumper crop of apples this year and the deer like my property once it snows. And it is snowing and 30! image.jpg image.jpg

    I might also add that I have my 16yr old grandson with me who has autism. Hopefully today is the day for his first deer.

    I'm in the stand with my bow. Can't wait to hear the orange army open fire. I'm hunting a small block of timber butted up to a big sanctuary. I'm hopeful the pressure will push them in here.

    Youth gun season opens today so I'm seated in a box blind on the edge of pine plantation and food plot with my youngest son. We are trying to get his first whitetail we are not going to be picky. It the coldest morning yet 31deg fells great. I'll be posting about my sons gun hunt to day hope y'all don't mind.
