That's it... If a woman truly loves you and isn't just all about her own wants and needs not caring if you are happy or not.. She is happy to see you happy. My wife misses me during bow season and prob has to pick up a little of my slack here and there.. but loves me enough to let me do what makes me happy.

Just had two small bucks pass by both in range. Not mature.

This weather is horrible. Wind and rain. Supposed to turn to a snow mix later and possibly 4" by morning. I'll hunt the snow - but this wind has to die down. I don't like getting motion sick in a tree!

I had my best encounter ever last night. I have only killed 1 deer in my life, it was by bow and a small 1. I had a very large 10 pointer coming to this decoy on hi alert. The stand I was in is not the highest or best camouflaged. I was able to get my bow while his head was down, got the release clipped to my loop, and he must have winded my trail. He blew up at my stand, and the decoy and took off about 50 yards. Stopped, looked back at the decoy, and away he went blowing for at least 200 yards into the thicket. He got to within 45 yards and my heart was racing. What a rush!

I feel your pain, I had a 30 yd shot at the biggest buck of my life on Wednesday night and shot just under him. I could have thrown up, I just have to remember that there will be more opportunities. I put myself in the right spot once, I can do it again!!

Went and checked. Clean miss. Looks like the shadows played a number on me. More little limbs in the way of the shot than I saw......I've made that type of shot so many times.

Last night I saw a spot that I could have nailed that big one from if I had a stand there. 10 minutes after, a little buck came by within 10 to 15 yards of the big one. If I move a hang-on in there in the next hour or so, would it be hunt able tonight? It looks like the rut is just starting here in SE Missouri. Thanks

Thanks. My hang-ons aren't as portable as LW's, but I can usually get them down and back up within about an hour or so. I hunt on a cattle farm, so the deer are used to the sound of Diesel engines. May just leave the Kubota running while I set it.

Covered the whole property the last few days. This year has been the least amount of rubs and scrapes I've ever seen.
