    Wanna laugh or cry, this past Tuesday while sitting in my stand I give a little rattle, 10 mins later I hear crashing through the woods, I can the tree line and see some movement. As this sounds draws closer I notice it's a OLD GUY crashing through the thicket. No sooner does this happen I hear a grunt coming from behind me, I turn to look and BAM. My big 8 at 30 yrds , this story doesn't have a happy ending !

    Winds have been west at 8 for several hours now. Showered and ready to hit the woods.

    No complaining today, unless things suck. Then all bets are off :lol:

    Good luck, it isn't over by any means. Late bloomers and second cycles will be coming around, but as for the peak of the main rut I can't remember a timenwhen that came in the 2nd half of November. Which we will be hunting after this weekend.

    Bucks are still on their feet, no doubt in my mind. Just feel a good number of the does are already bred.

    Well last day before gun season starts. In the past this has been a pretty good day for deer movement so we will have to see if that holds true
