Not married yet but I've already given that speech.

Right now, I'd rather it be a mad woman than this wind.

Going to be a lot of rain for the central US mid week, if the cold air moves in fast enough it could end on a snowy note. Probably too warm to accumulate but would be nice to see some flakes flying

Definitely. I took the week of Thanksgiving of hoping to catch some activity. So far it has been a little slow

I go back to work Monday for 4 days, 3 day shotgun weekend then back 2 work 3 days for a 4 day holiday weekend. When all is said and done I'll have worked 10 days in the month of November.

Slow is an understatement though. A lot of people think the best is yet to come, I think the best went unseen. We'll find out over the next week I guess.

    I will repeat....Family > Hunting

Until you that disagree with the above formula understand that, you will miss out on so much....and regret it later...

No doubt! No deer is worth losing your family. A marriage sometimes requires sacrifices!

Tonight was strange I had two big doe and a doe fawn milling around like it was September for a good long while. Decided to shoot one, then 15 minutes later another group of does came crashing in panting with nothing chasing them. Another 10 minutes goes by and I hear grunting, 2 year old 8 was on their trail and came in and chased them off. It's been hit or miss this whole rut so far.

That's a pretty good vacation plan.
The Conservation Dept here says that the best was about 3 weeks ago. It was quite a bit warmer then and I wasn't out much. I'm hoping the best is yet to come. Wishing us all luck!

I didn't get divorced either time because of hunting. It was a joke. My first wife ran off and the second treated my kids badly so I know about family. I was just kidding guys. I got a b day party for my 9 year old Saturday so I wont see thr woods this weekend.

I'm with ya Dan. We have 2 boys. It is the greatest thing going. I'm also lucky to have the best wife and mother to our boy's that anyone could want. She's also a killer shot with a bow or rifle.

well here we go. rain and snow today. heading out the door in a few minutes. gets too nasty i'll be out of there. today and tomorrow and its over for PA. if today and tomorrow weren't the last day probably wouldn't bother today. I just don't want any regrets after tomorrow. giving it my all right to the end.
