Hopefully no one goes into the woods after this system passes to see something like this

I'll be in tomorrow morning an hour before light and hunt all day like I've done 8 times already this season, so far to no avail. I have patience on my side. lol New Moon, going to be a DARK walk in!!

I'm torn about in the morning. Supposed to be stormy mid-morning and possibly severe later in the day. Wind is supposed to be gusty all day. Wind is calling for SSW @ 13 at sun up. Not sure if it is worth it or not..........

cls. That is a terrible way to go. The scary thing is that could easily be a person.

That could be a person, in a stand, attached to the tree and both laying across the number one hitlister

In that event, did the hunter get his number one?

But on a serious note, widow makers are called that for a reason.

Rut or not, high winds are not worth the chance of risking your health and your families anguish over.

Unfortunately looking up is not normal for people. In the timber it is a really good idea to keep your head on a swivel.
Funny that you mentioned "widow makers". The wife and boys and I were in the timber a couple of weeks ago and I was showing her that very thing to watch out for when she is in the timber walking around. We have numerous widow makers just hanging out waiting for their moment after the July Tornado.

Goodluck, tomorrow is the first day in at least 18 that I will not see 5:00am on the clock. A lot of those have been 3am.

Tomorrow I will probably wake way early out of habit, but Thursday I will sleep late.

    I hope

Headed out! Good luck guys. Rain has past here until tomorrow. Heavy fog this morning. Should be a good one.
