    Getting about one hour sit this afternoon in the ground blind on the edge of a good plot at my house. It hard to be able to hunt as much as I would like with a busy family. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

    Three great days coming up. We have some good rain coming down right now and it is looking like for most of the day tomorrow....but you know how weather people are in their predictions. Im gonna wake up at 0330 to see if I should head out and hunt If it is a light rain it is game on. Ill be out all day Wed, Thurs morning, and all day Friday.

    I realized tonight...I saw my first shooter from stand tonight.....pretty sad...plenty on the cams...

    got to wait to see what rain is going to do for the am. came to the conclusion that dragging a scent trail is crap. I have never had it work ever. I know one thing is that since I started dragging a line and hanging a wick the deer are keeping their distance from the plot im hunting. I am going to let the rain wash it out tonight and see if things improve without it. came to the realization that bucks like does that are currently in heat. not does that were in heat weeks ago. makes sense to me anyways.

    I got home, did the work I needed to on the outside wood burning boiler. Decided to walk up to the gate and close it instead of driving. It was a beautiful evening. Still a few gun slingers sighting in their rifle before opening morning of gun season this Saturday. As I walked up through the cut beans I glanced over in to our standing beans in the food plot and standing there are 2 bucks, which are right under the stand, watching me walk up to the gate. I just kept moving but it was more than they could stand. They bolted back in to the timber and in to the darkness. So far this season, hunting or not, the buck sightings have outnumbered the does about 3-1. I like that ratio!!
    Work has me tomorrow. The weather looks bad for Wednesday but I'll try to squeeze in a little bit before it storms.
