    I lied. Had a doe blowing from neighbors property. Well upwind, but I swear the little tramp followed me blowing the whole time. Got in stand a bit ago and she must have finally left.

    Not real optimistic now, but its the rut and anything goes. 25 minutes til shooting time, 35 until its light enough. Wish the wind would pick up just a tad. Feel like I'm just scent pooling the whole area.

    Settled in for my 3rd hunt this year. It's hard finding time when you're a full time college student 4hrs from the hunting ground but hoping this weekend is a good one! Good luck everyone.

    What a morning! Wanted to be in early, 48* when I left the barn. Couldn't get gate opened, thought I heard movement running away, finally got the seek set. I climbed the tree, heard something fall, it was my outer camo shirt. I left a zipper open on my pack. So I am finally up with 15 minutes to spare before legal shooting time. Good luck all!

    In the stand I think there is either a bunch marines doing PT or Some sort of rally about 1000 yards away. I hear a bunch of call and response but can't make out the words. It started before light and ended about 10 min ago. I thought it was just high school kids having a field party at first but got way too organized for that. Very strange.
