    I called it a day awhile ago. Wind was horrible, no sense in wasting a full day or more with the wrong wind.

    Morning was so-so. Wimds were blowing on me from the WNW/NW which isn't bad as they were fairly calmed. About 6:45 had a doe start blowing from my NE, looked in that general direction and seen a white flag heading the other way soon after followed by another and possibly a third. A few seconds later a buck followed behind, didn't get a good look at him but could tell there were antlers on top.

    Winds were swirling that bad

    Nothing after that. On the way out I noticed a new 3 foot scrape that was not there Monday.

    The next 3 days will be good, tomorrow will be the worst of the 3 but manageable, as long as I do not get a due West or SW wind like today I have multiple options. Sunday and Monday as currently forecast are perfect, perfect with a P.

    I hope to have the first buck down over the next two days. Seeing a buck trailing the does this morning was proof positive it is finally coming around. High pressure moving in, 30 degree mornings with light winds equals get your butts out there in the midwest.

    Lot of bucks going to drop the next 6 days

    Seen a monster buck chasing a doe around at 7am this morning. Real nice chocolate colored rack. To bad it was from my work truck.

    Well that's it for me until Tuesday evening, or Wednesday. Kind of glad to be going back to work, I at least see deer there usually.....

    I'm still out already committed to all day
    Winds are gusting and haven't seen a deer yet but they aren't swirling but the temps are dropping and too late to drive home and come back

    Back at the house. No deer. Apparently one walked with in 10 yards of my stand at 6:50am according to trail camera. To dark to see and to set to hear

    I'm taking the back roads home and checking fields and what not, still haven't seen a deer, this is getting a bit ridiculous.....

    Yea, I drove from keokuk to Quincy Illinois and back yesterday afternoon, no dead deer on the side of the road, none in fields, drove keokuk to Burlington to my lease, non dead or any running beside roads I could see. That is just crazy for this area and this time of year....

    58 here, not bad at all. I think I'm gonna climb down and hike to a new spot for the afternoon. Wind isn't perfect, but mostly out of sheer boredom
