Where do you find the drive to go in this heat?[/QUOTE]

I'm using precious vacation days for hunting so I might as well be out enjoying the woods cause once season is over I'll be wishing I could get out in a Treestand

Trust me hunting in this heat is not fun

Wow, something has to break. Does he have all day Friday or morning only? Not sure if he hunted Monday evening after scouting and hanging his stand

He did not hunt Monday at all...I feel horrible for him...I would be puking after spending outfitter coin and having weather like this..

Not sure if he is hunting Friday afternoon.... But I think he is

48 and a slight good wind. Can't believe I'm wearing early season clothes in November

Is that when the unicorn rut typically begins up there?

Those will be the days, but I wouldn't blame him for taking an early one when given the chance even if it is less than hoped for.

Unfreaking believable! I climb up at 1500 and hear something about 50yds from me. I see something move but I don't know what it is. I watch for a while and then I sit down. Keep in mind I still have the clothes on that I walked in with. I go ahead and change and sit down to eat a protein bar and a doe pops right out in front of me. I don't even have my release on yet. I slowly slipped it out of my pack and got ready. She continued right towards me and now I'm debating whether I want to shoot or not, being that the rut is just getting started. I thought if I need to debate with myself I probably shouldn't shoot. Anyway she passed by at 15yds right in front of my camera. I might end up regretting it later but I let her walk.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

The second guessing yourself being the worst part. Hopefully some buck follows her scent in this evening.

That's what I'm hoping for. If it would have been just a week ago I would've pulled the trigger without even thinking about it.

I let 5 pass yesterday at 10 yards. I figure this time of year they are a goo draw to bring a buck in. Obviously it doesn't work

It's so hot I'm going to dress like the late Steve Irwin tomorrow. Beige booty shorts beware! Not real sure why and I haven't seen a deer in 25 hrs but I have a feel action is going to present itself in the next 1.5 hrs. Just have a feeling.

Thermals beginning to slide...time to focus

Lucky me I have another meeting tonight and won't be in the stand where a deer will more than likely be tonight. Can't decide for the morning should I hunt this new spot, camera is set up on this one trail and I've been getting plenty of videos of deer just all in the late evening should I give it a morning try? I'm thinking that I'm right on the edge of a doe bedding area. Or should I hunt stand #2 where I shot my buck but haven't seen anything there since and don't have a camera, I also have a third option in the corner of a crp field woods and a swamp what so you guys think I can't decide although I'm leaning towards the new area
