    Does anyone else feel weird blowing a call? I feel like I'm sitting in the back of a short bus licking the Windows... Like maybe the deer are like " that's a deer" but "it's just Fred.. And he's special"

    Went into town for dinner last night and seen about 9 groups of does. They all had their fawns still with them.

    It's so weird. The last 2.5 weeks of October here in Maine, we had hard hard frosts every single morning without fail. Haven't even come close to a frost since November kicked off. My trail cameras have been dead since the November 1, but this morning I had a fork come through at about 2am sniffing the ground on the foodplot.

    Just played cat and mouse for the last few minutes with a funky racked buck that I have several pics of in this spot. I grunted at him several times but he just kept circling and wouldn't come in. At least there's movement this morning.

    Couldn't take sitting in the stand anymore so I hit the ground and went stalking. Saw two deer in the pines stalked up to about 40yds and then the smaller one closed the distance to 25. Drew back on it, but looking at it a little closer it looked like a button buck. So I let down and the bugger walked to 5 yds and hung out studying me for 15 min. It was definitely a button buck. After 15 he decided to leave and bounded away. Now that's good times.

    Things are starting to get crazy here in central MN - 9 bucks on their feet in 4 hours yesterday. Number 1 hitlist buck was chasing does everywhere. Chased a few nice 8's away from the does as well.

    And I am stuck at work until Friday... When they will more than likely be on lockdown.

    Just a matter of time.

    Yeah.. I was thinking of getting down around then too. My wife has the next 5 days off so I hope to be in a tree a lot. I know I can't go sat morn cause she has Hunter safety class... Gonna be taking her out during gun season if she passes lol
