Heading back out. Don't have real good expectations being about 75* and sunny. But I'm up at the cabin, might as well go sit

Headed to my N Illinois farm, had originally planned a hang and sit but it's so warm I don't want sweat up the area so I think I'll move my ground blind a little and sit with that. Cam check this morning was very disappointing to say the least but saw a ill monster 1/2 mile away on drive home on a doe. I'm gonna go sweat it out and see how it goes

Friday is looking better here, rain should end overnight Thursday and hopefully be dry enough for an all day sit.

Sucks having already started what I thought was a vacation, finding it hard to get re-excited like that initial excitement

I really hope yhings get going this weekend and it's not another down rut happening at night. Crops are all out so can't really blame much.

Either that or numbers are that low it makes it seem like it's not occuring. Dunno, I just know the previous 4 days I didn't see all the spikes and yearlings of years past during mornings and afternoons.

Unfortunately back to work Friday for me. Went ultra light today, range finder, bow, and stand. Should have brought grunt tube.

I think I've been too positive this year so I'm going to try some self loathing tonight to turn my season around. I'm a crappy hunter. I can't figure deer out ever. I've only seen 2 deer from this stand all season. Deer hate me.

    Bring on the sympathy sacrifice!

Heats cranking back up now, but guessing fog will be an issue the next few mornings keeping mornings good.

First sit on the particular farm of the year
With all the heat the leaves are really dried out. Everything is nice and crunchy

Corn in front and behind me need to bring saw with me on Saturday to clear up some lanes now that leaves are gone

Sorry dude, you're right. The deer do hate you this year.

I've already been through the self loathing stage this year...now I'm lashing out.

The next stop on that train is blaming others. I think I'll join you and we'll ride this train together.

Back in the blind with my 8 yo son. I think he's ready to take a nap. It's warm in NJ, 70. Moved the blind near a couple very fresh scrapes and rubs on the edge of a thicket.

I'm sitting with my wife tonight hoping that we can knock down two good bucks in two days. I'm feeling pretty confident in this setup.
