    After seeing that little doe this morning, I saw nothing more...deer, anyway...all day sit...2 deer right away....then NOTHING!

    Y'all know what you can do with an all day sit??

    Thanks everybody. I've been busy all day taking care of the deer and running some errands with my wife. Within the next day or two I'll do a little continuation of the post I wrote up a while back about this buck. It was definitely a hunt I won't forget.

    There, there, don't feel too badly. lol How about hunting all day sits from Oct 26-31 and not seeing ANYTHING? This was about 60 hours on stand, excluding Wed because of heavy rain. It was/is my worst week of supposed rut hunting in my life!

    Now today, I get off work early and get in my stand by 3:10PM. At 3:25 I have a yearling walk from the thicket 8 yrds out from my stand. Even after all of the letdown of last week, I couldn't bring myself to shoot that deer. It was enjoying life too much, as I watched it feed below me for 10 mins. I got more out of letting that deer go than if I had killed it! I'm weird.

    Decisions decisions, keep trying to grind it out on my lease where I have not seen a deer in 3 sits totaling 25hrs, or give public land from the ground a try....can only do a morning hunt...

    I'm getting ready to jet....but if I could, I would be swapping the next 4 days off this week for the 3 days I work next week.. Straight up...lol...

    Weatherman increased the temps by 10 degrees...for this week...

    Since I can't, I can change one day, which will be tomorrow or Friday for Monday....this weekend looks great, temps wise...

    I reluctantly go this morning.... But just until 10...
