Had to take the kids home so I didn't get to sit but I saw at least 4 different bucks chasing does going up the interstate within an hour.

Well, was a good start to my short rut-cation. 2 shooters 50 yards out and heard the biggest grunting at the doe for 5 minutes. Then had a little 5 walk circles around me. Then the bottom fell out, squirrel hunters came thru. Gotta love public land.

Tomorrow begins my actual vacation. Would have had Fri-Sun off anyway, while it will be nice to get paid while I hunt, it's time to see if the vacation swap was the right move.

I'm going to be feeling the heat.

Damn mosquitos were out tonight, even after w couple frosts and freezes. Low to mod 70's all week.

I wouldn't worry about the warm front too much. Killed my buck last year on a day that was upper 60s at 12:30 in the afternoon. They might not be all out chasing like they would if it was 35, but does have to eat and bucks have to breed.

No worries there, happens every year. I've never shot a buck that I didn't have to rush to the processor. Maybe 2013 when we had a big cold snap. Remember letting it hang actually.

Other than that always been 55 or above I believe.

This. Saw my biggest buck hit a food plot on a warm November afternoon two years ago. Temps were in the 60-70s and it was around one or two o'clock. Anything is possible.

Got in 15 minutes before legal time. Pretty late for me but I'm here. Good wind, clouds are clearing, 40 degrees and the ground is wet so my eyes are doing most of the work this morning

Well boys.. I fought the alarm clock and will be late AGAIN this morn! I hate mornings! Should be in the tree at shooting light or just after but better late than not at all I guess..

I have some "hero" shots in mind after yesterday...

Back in the blind this morning. Saw a huge buck at last light about 70-80 Yds yesterday afternoon. Can only hope he comes back today!

All settled in again, 44 degrees and foggy. Don't know why but today it feels better than yesterday!
