Seen does in the fields, no bucks on the way into town.

Pork tenderloin chocolate shake for the drive home and think I'm sitting tomorrow out.

Simulated radar from 7am today to 8am(with time change) Sunday. Supposed to have gusty winds too.

Today just ain't my day. No deer in sight, now get to b-dubs and this place is beyond packed....all I wanted was a beer and some wings, is that too much to ask for after a long day in a tree.....

Saw one deer tonight. My buddy's wife shot her first buck going to help look for it now. Wish us luck

Had a decent 6 at 20 yards broadside but I'm really wanting to take this 8 point I have been after. I pulled back and thought about it since I still haven't killed anything with my bow. Am I being too picky? I mean, it was an adrenaline rush, but I want the other one. I have 2 buck tags so I could have taken him but he's 1.5 year old deer and I think he could be really nice if he makes it a few more ice cream seasons.

Shoot what makes you happy. My first year bow hunting, I took the first deer that gave me a shot, it was a little basket 7 point. Did it from the ground on public land. Will probably be one of my most memorable and exciting hunts ever....

As Wesley said, shoot what you want. I always tell new bow hunters to kill the first deer that presents a good shot.

That's the thing. I'm sure I would have been content with him but I kinda want to wait and see what he becomes. Me and a buddy are on this land and we are trying to let the smaller bucks walk, even if they neighbors get them so we can have some bigger deer here. I just hope I don't regret it. I have killed bigger ones with a gun and love hunting just in general, but I have had that 8 come out twice ( once was too early and once dogs ran him off) so I think I want to wait. Thanks for the advice guys.

Alright no one is punching my man card. Got home and the tree umbrella was here, reminded me I had already planned to hunt it.

It's Halloween, been waiting for this vacation since last November I need to make the most of it. Don't let any opportunity go to waste.

See ya at the crack of dawn
