This evening has been uneventful... Got in here about 4 and haven't seen a deer *yet*. Should be a good spot so I'm hoping for some last light action

Hour and a half left. About to head back to the truck and call it a day.

This season is one of dejection so far. Think I should have hunted here a few times early on.

They might be moving somewhere else.

Got in the stand about 15 minutes ago... Got home late. Should be a good night even though the wind is bad for every stand in hunting this weekend. Good luck everybody

Thinking Buffalo Wild Wings and a nice cold beer and watch a little of the redwings game is gonna be good when I get out of here. One good thing about where I hunt, 10mins from a decent size town wth restaurants...

In 8 years I have only killed 2 deer in the evenings. I rarely hunt them because there are no fields and staging is on neighboring properties. Generally when they do come through it's about an hour and a half before sunset.

When rut is in full swing I sit regardless, really not worth it otherwise.

I'm used to hearing that. Wife is a hawks fan. I'll never claim to be a fan, but I will watch when they are on and keep up with them. It's easier to cheer for them now that the wings are in the east. Actually have tickets to a game in Chicago in December, hawks vs Canucks....

I'm still here though. Maybe first and last light is my ticket.

What ever it was held up. Branch that broke sounded too big for coon/possom. If it was a deer think it may have caught me moving into position and froze.
