    Kicked up 5 deer on the walk in but haven't seen anything but tree rats in the stand yet my buddy says there's about 7 doe out in the field where he is

    I'm looking forward to the rain. Keeps other hunters out and Monday it is going to allow me to seek into a spot between two bedding areas on NE wind. I hope some nasty old buck moves through.

    Driving down the highway I see a truck backing up on the shoulder, so I slow down to rubber neck. Right there in a little strip of woods is a big buck chase a doe around! This happen maybe 20 minutes ago.

    My season as of right now can be summed up with "just a few minutes late".

    Got into my stand, pulled the bow up, and just when I was about to put pack on the hook I realized there was a doe coming out and she got me.

    Hopefully another group comes out. I'll be waiting.
