I only had to do this once, unfortunately I was 2 hrs from home... Sent from my ADR910L using Tapatalk
I dont know about you guys.. but every time I miss hunting when I could have went.. Im kinda sorta glad when I come in here and dont see like 3 or 4 big bucks down
Common sense doesn't exist when you are 16... Like I said, it only needed to happen once Sent from my ADR910L using Tapatalk
And I am now on vacation.....too bad I have a chiropractor apt this afternoon or I would be heading to a treestand.....
Looks like I will be headed out around 3:00. Should be a tad warm, a little windy, but we will see what happens.
How often are you planning to update your IL adventure. I'm really curious to hear what others are seeing during this timeframe. 3 1/2 hours and I am a free man, 15 hours and I awaken for my first all day sit. Saturday is going to be windy and possibly moderate rain in the morning. Going to try and tough out another all dayer, hopefully I can stay relatively dry.
I'll be updating every few hours live from the stand! One more day of work hen I'm off for two weeks!! I leave for Illinois Saturday at midnight, will be hunting sunrise Monday morning! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Be interesting to see what me, you, and jrk_indle, if he is hunting, are seeing, we will all be pretty much in the same geographical area.
This will be my view Monday morning..... With these warmer temps and being buckless since 2013, I'm lowering my standards to camp minimum 120" or higher. Somethings gonna die!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yea, I'm not liking it either, but at least it will be nice and cool in the morning with minimal wind. Looks like rain Saturday still, but then just slight chances until Thursday Friday it jumps up to 60%.... But I'm sure it will change again..
Question is, do I break out the decoy tomorrow? Light and variable winds in the morning, risky me thinks
I don't use decoys, but I think if I did, I would probably take it. Bucks are getting frisky in my neck of the woods....
I've never used one either, where I plan to sit I generally have my greatest number of deer sightings. Usually cruising bucks through the trees, shot ops are less but if I can somehow draw them out into the open I'd like my odds(wouldn't we all ). Looking forward to the experiment though, even though I know it lessens a shot on a doe. Might hold off until the warmth breaks, start on Wednesday and let nature run its natural course the first few days.
McDonough County! I love the small Midwest towns. The outfitter camp is in Augusta. I'm trying to convince my wife to move out there...she will be hunting/coming with me next year! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
