Mid day hunt again. Been in stand since 11. Seen a partridge so far. Nothing else. Be here till 2:30. Then have to go get my wife to take her out for the evening.

Phones not letting me post photos. Any suggestions

Just got in the stand and set up. It's overcast kind of lite drizzle right now. Sitting over a cut corn feild that just got cut last night so should be decent.

I know one thing I need some practice setting up camera arm and all that before try a morning sit and haveta do it in dark. Shouldn't be too bad now though all my stands have everything else hung now so that'll be only thing haveta mess with now.

    Good luck everyone

Been in the stand for a little over an hour and rained on twice already. I'm set up on a funnel right against the Mississippi River. I've got my wife sitting overlooking a trail going into a bean field. I'm hoping she can smack a doe this evening.

Just had a pretty cool buck encounter. Looked like an old mature spike...very cool looking. Big body on him too! I'd say his spikes were at least 15 inches long and had good mass to then...look so cool I almost shot him!

Just getting ready to head out. Have to set a new stand because of this south wind we're having. It's on public ground, so hopefully the dog walkers will stay on the other side of the area. Trying to get my older boy his first deer.

All settled back in, temp is mid 50s and overcast. Pulled my cameras after the am sit and it's shows the food plot been used more and longer both day and night.

Been here an hour and seen nothing so far. Sitting over a small quarter acre soy bean plot that was protected by PlotSaver until late September, love hunting these food plots this time of year. Deer have been hammering my plots the last week or so.

I hate when there is a leaf swaying in the wind and it keeps catching the sun in just the right angle to make it look like a tail flicker!!! Grrrrrr

Little doe came back out and is working down toward my stand. Not gonna shoot but pretty cool watching her come across. First time sat in this stand and to see where they come on from.

The girlfriend and I haven't seen anything this evening so far either. I'm gonna switch up tactics tomorrow. In going to do some ground stalking, still hunting, on some public land to scout and look for a potential new spot for the climber.
