Vikings vs Packers is nothing compared to being in the stand. As soon as I got up the rain stopped. Lets hope for a good night!

Vikings are starting ponder so if you're a Vikings fan I think I'd rather be in the woods and not watch that..

The deer will never suspect a thing. :)

Seems kind of cold for a tarantula. Had a hard frost last night.

I'm using this cliff for cover. 'Bout a 300' drop. :)

I'm out with my muzzleloader. I saw some decent bucks out here before but I can't seem to get them to show themselves again. They hide in the rocks and junipers pretty good.

23 more days and counting,.....I feel your pain,...As much as I hate the 10 day set back, I really like being in the woods all the way thru the rut,.....

How old are you. I used to live in monroeville. Went to elementary and middle school there and moved shortly after starting jr high. I will be 30 this month so if you are around the same age we may know some of the same people.

Well Nevermind on the age part. Just looked at your profile. My parents were Paul and Barbara Lofton of that name rings a bells. I was really good friends with the baggett family, George and Louise.

Well I'm 20ft up. Off to a rough start. Woke up with a splitting headache. Forgot my range finder at home. Gas station I stopped at was not taking cards and atm was down so could not buy me a couple bottles of water. Forgot my thermacell and ratchet strap for camera arm in the truck, so no filming this morning.

The day can only get better right???

Well after 5 inches or rain in 48 hours - 2 inches over our monthly average of 3 Inches I am in the tree stand. Still really wet and a front is moving in on the backside of all this rain.

Would probably be a good day to sit all day but going to hunt my other property this afternoon.

At least your up in a tree and not at work. Thats already better than most of us. Good luck!!!

As for the other, we've only lived here a short time, born and raised just across the state line in Florida(Milton) but the Lofton name sure rings a bell but not sure where. I do alot of drag racing, may be where I know the name,...anyway, give'm hell today!!

Got a little too windy for my fat *** to be 20ft up a tree. Been sitting on the ground for a bit, getting close to calling it a morning. Just not a fan of hunting in 30-40mph winds. Was ok with the 15-20 that the weatherman said it was supposed to be, but like usual, he sucks at his job.

I snuck out for a couple hours this morning, front came through yesterday was about 50deg this A.M. and they were moving. 5 bucks total... One BB, a spike, 4pt, decent 8pt and one that I considered shooting. Just couldn't make up my mind on how old he was. Had him at 20yds for over 5 min, he was wide and heavy but not very tall. I thought him to be 3.5 but after looking at the pics I got of him this morning I'm second guessing that. He may very well be 4. I got some good footage of him so I'll have to have a better look tonight. It's early though, he lives for now....
