    Morning hunt was all about RD and he didnt show..one scrub yearling is all. Back out in a stand where slickheads can't make it out alive if they show....time will tell....

    Alfalfa to south and corn 100 yards away thtough small 5 acre woodlot I am on edge of. Turned beans to S and E as well....oh and acorns throughout small woods....ring dinner bell!

    Well just had a good encounter with a......




    Squirrel. That's about all the action I have seen this afternoon. But it did quit raining and the thermacell seems to be working on the skeeters. I'll sit till dark, then get to work a 9-9 shift tomorrow. Back at it friday and Saturday.

    Getting close to quitting time for me also. Got about 35 mins of legal time left. Had a baby coon come up behind just a min ago. Glad momma wasn't with him. Pretty uneventful evening.

    K fellas crazy bad blood for the best shot of my life. She was quartering away at 15 yards...arrow entered right how I thought. It got back left lung...sliced a gash on top of the heart then snuck through front of right lung and exited in front of shoulder. The blood trail however suffered due to no light and the fact the exit was not letting much blood out. Only went maybe 200 yards maximum but tough tracking.
