Well, it was dead calm all morning but now there's a pretty good east wind picking up. An east wind in Indiana usually means a big change in the weather is coming.

    Blessings. ..........Pastorjim

I'm the same way. I figure with as many opportunities as I have with doe, I can stand to be a bit picky :D

What a great opening day. Seen 5 does and a spIke buck. Had a doe bed down 20 yards behind my tree for a while. Would have loved to put an arrow in one of them but it was still and awesome day.

I seen an old timer skinning a deer in his front yard this morning in Belvidere. What town are you hunting near?

I am stuck at school for the week. Heading home Friday for an evening sit and morning hunt on Saturday, then I am heading back for the K-State Vs. Texas Tech game. Good luck everybody!

Saw 9 does this morning, no antlers. Was going to whack one, but 1-2 mph wind swirled on me twice!! Wind was back and forth all morning. Bummer.

Back at it tonight, then again on the weekend.

Ended up seeing just one doe but she was about 90 yards away. Done for the day. This whole work thing really sucks.

This ENE wind really handcuffs me on this property....back in the stand from this morning....sweated my baguettes offwalking the mile plus back here....not feeling confident, but I will enjoy the sit regardless

    East wind. 82 F.

Set up on a pinch point between a creek and a lake. Bean field to my north and more crop fields through the woods to my south.

Really just hunted this because easy entry east exit - should keep pressure down for now!
