    Opening day here in NY. Had 3 does come by so far. So glad to be out here and not at work.

    In the stand for the opener but 8th didn't go as smooth as planned I was very meticulous in laying out my stuff last night. I loaded everything I would need into the truck except my bow. Got up and was feeling all organized when I left the house. Got about 5 miles from home and remembered my bow was back at the house. Oh well, at least I didn't get 70 miles away and then remember it.     Had a group of 5 does come in at 740. Big one knew I was there but couldn't locate me, just kept snorting, just wouldn't get close enough to give me a shot, but it was a nice way to kick off what I hope is going to be a fruitful season. Good luck to the rest of you. Put on your safety harnesses and shoot straight

    Man I should have popped one of those does earlier. They were at 18yds. That's one of my faults, I pass to many deer.
