Nothing to report. Deer all seem to be staying bedded up and moving very little. Gonna keep trying. Three days left

In the stand since 1330. Can shoot til 1713. It's a good area. Lots of fresh tracks and droppings. Some scrapes and rubs. My fear is that the deer have gone mostly nocturnal

So, I'm sitting on the ground in a WMA and I just had a group of 6 horseback riders come within 10 ft of me and never knew I was there. One looked right toward me and never saw me.

I learned that even though it's raining it would still be more enjoyable to be out hunting than helping the wife clean out her clothes closet(s). OMG!!!

No Maxpetros. It's right by the little league ball field on Jericho St. You will see the WMA signs. It's a good little piece. The doe I shot Thursday evening I finished trackingFriday morning. All I found was a pile of hair and blood. The coyotes or a bear got her. I'm some upset. Second time that's happened to me in NJ. The carcass was completely gone, so something carried it off. When I was tracking her I saw a wide six point buck. He was 60 yds away and walking away from me. Maybe next year. This is probably my last hunt. Though NJ Winter Bow goes till Feb 21. Maybe I'll try and squeeze in one more trip. We will see! image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Yep. As I said in an earlier post it's less than .5 mile from my house.

I'm hunting cow elk (rifle). Hiked around a bit today and walked within 40-ish yards of this 6 x 6.
This is the second bull to stand around in the open that I've seen on this hunt. The cows are all sticking to thick cover on steep stuff. :)

    Just thought I'd share.

The new Bear Agenda 7 was hungry... Just shot a doe with it a bit ago. Not sure on the hit.. Think I may have hit a branch. Got down and my light was dead so I came back to the house for lights.
