    Just got set back up in bale blind. The spot it's in along with the whole farm really usually has more action in afternoon so now just gotta wait and see.

    Just had some fairly close shots so either my buddy is hunting, which I doubt since it was only two shots, or the neighbors are on them. Least sounds like they're moving. Heard 5 shots so far in about 30 mins

    Just might of shot a doe, looked like was holding good through scope but when she ran off didn't see much blood from a impact. I've had that happen with these slugs before thoug, they don't leave much of a hole. She took off slow but idk.

    Final 2 hours, this end of the property has just stunk it up the past two years, this year especially.

    Hoping wit all the traffic in the bottoms today they'll move through here, not holding my breath though

    Slugs I always use Lightfields, they shoot like field points to 125yds

    Yea idk man, I shoot horady but I've found at close range they shoot so dang fast they zip right through them and there's not much blood. Kinda feel crappy about it cause I didn't shoot couple rounds before season and not sure if gun is on. Should be it sits in safe all year but ya never know. Had it right on the sweet spot though.

    Farmer just came and worked a cut bean field we have been seeing deer in at sunset. Do you think they will show up on the edge at least one more time? Maybe see its worked then leave?

    I've had that happen in an alfalfa field and they checked it out that night. The next day they fed elsewhere. Good luck.

    Well there she is, hit kinda far back so idk what caused that. Can't really remember everything that happened before shot, happened quick so just kinda reacted. Either way she's dead and already got her dropped off at processors. Be back at it in the morning looking to fill other tag

    I got out at 1:15 today. Had a gun hunter sneak up on me. He saw me at about 50 yds and went the other way. This was the first night I didn't see deer in this spot. Gun season probably has them more nocturnal than usual. Oh well, I had a great afternoon either way. I may just use the rifle on Sunday.

    Taking my friends boy out tomorrow (gun).....he tagged a doe opening day which was his first deer....he's hooked now and I told him I'd take him out with me since his dad couldn't go this weekend....wish us luck!

    Congrats to everyone with deer down....missed a lot on here...looks like some freezers are filling up!
