I completely agree with you. Most years some of the best hunting is the week of Thanksgiving. The most mature bucks I've ever seen in one day was on Thanksgiving a couple years back. They should still be on their feet cruising for awhile trying to get some late does.

So I'm getting into my climber a little bit ago and I've got it almost completely strapped to my tree and BAM a small 6 shows up and is headed my way. So I get it all strapped on and pop into it real fast. He walks right by me only 15 yards away and didn't even take notice. Wooooo talk about a close call

Saw a small spike. Grunted and bleated at him after he got within 10 yds and he just spooked. Not interested in them I guess

Well I'm gonna give it one more try before the orange army invades tomorrow. Hoping to get an arrow in the big 8 pointer I've got pics of. Good luck all.

Just had a 8pt walk by at 20 yds no freaking shot. If I was in my other tree I would have nailed him

Im leaning towards the IWOM. They really thought of all the details in that one.

That's the second buck in two days that did not respond to bleats or grunts

Saw a buck yesterday afternoon on my pm bus route, it was my 3rd PM encounter with him (all from my bus) his right side is broken up. Saw two other bucks this am. One of them had his head down and was trailing a doe.....trailing her hard!

Slugger, you got this today! I am out of the game....what a great morning to hunt but I have unexpected business in which to complete. Looks like I can get a 6am-2pm hunt in tomorrow. Should be my last real good rut hunting day in the woods.

7:35 a big buck ran a doe past me at 27 yrds but wouldn't give me a shot. I rattled about 8:50 and at 9:15 a 2 pt walked in, looked around and left. Slow to respond. Wish he was 110 inches bigger. So calm the quiet is noisy.
