    I have been seeing deer around 3:30-4:00 on the field edges the past 3 days while its super cold, so You gotta at least sit the last 3 hours. The afternoon is always easier for me mentally because I know when its dark your done anyway. The morning, I am tempted to quit earlier.

    Idk about over but it's been really slow. Just had a small buck chase a fawn right past my stand. That's the only action I've seen. Cameras are pretty quiet too. Got a doe and a buck down. Would like to get one more before I kick waterfowl into high gear.

    Yeah I've already got a buck and a doe also... I'm duck hunting tomorrow.
    There calling for rain all weekend so the shotgun hunters won't have much fun.

    Had 2 does out this morning but they are getting the pass since rut should be kicking off any day now. Got a new buck that showed up on camera and has moved up to number 1 on hit list

    The rut isnt over. Many years Ive seen rutting action all the way up to November 27-28th here in Virginia.
