Wish I felt the same, I backed down a few of the crappier days.

One thing is certain, after this Januember, I don't want to be out there again in late December and January.

You did it on public land, I have more respect for that

 

An empty stomach makes Casey's pizza taste like a $100 pizza. Holy crap I need a beer!

Saw 3 doe this morning. One within twenty yards, but took a nubby on Thursday so let her pass. Gave it up at noon today, ending a day and a half early. The deer won. 82 hours in the stand this year and never saw one of my target bucks. Gun season next weekend here. Good luck to those hunting tomorrow.

 

Well ended up seeing about 7 or 8 does. Nothing in range though. Probably gonna skip out on tomorrow morning gotta move a stand. Congrats to everybody that harvested something today.

 

It took me 45 minutes to cancel my alarm and turn my work alarm back on.

I so want to hunt tomorrow, really think it is going to be a great morning again. I'm sure I'll be questioning it for some time, calm winds and crisp air would be a repeat of today.

Had one too many drinks now to chance a 4 am drive on minimal sleep.

 

Pulled a card just inside the woods from the field edge I hunted today. The big 9 was there at 2 o'clock, I needed him to come up less than 40 yards so I could see him. That is twice he got super lucky.

 

Well its gun season here in ny usually hate to go out with a gun but today my little girls coming with and she wants the to see blood...! Sick girl im raisen... plus shes not old enough to sit in a tree so ground blind and gun huntin the field this morning. Hope we shoot something... goodluck to all going out this morning. Cold and frosty

 

Good luck this morning mike. We have a dusting of snow. Spot hasn't been touched in over a week. Have seen a few big boys on stand in the spot I'm headed to. Was going to bring the decoy but not today.

I am back from my Morgan county trip, I saw 17 deer from the stand. Does to bucks 10/7. I took one shot at a medium tall 6/7 pointer, only because me buddy had just shot this 11 and it was about time to gut it

Now I am back home in Sangamon County and hunting a nice dusting

Came up to Michigan...lotta snow and not a lot of deer. Blah

 

Perfect conditions but it's a ghost town. Where are the deer?!

 

Awesome buck....good for him!
