    Just saw a decent buck but wouldn't respond to anything. Tough place to hunt, can't really hear them coming.

    So I had one of my hitlisters at 23 yards this morning, just too thick for a shot. He was grunting and snort wheezing at a doe the whole time. The doe walked out at 35 yards, but he looped around and followed her. It was just too far to shoot. I watched them for awhile after that around 70 yards or so, but they worked off through the woods. Man, I feel like I'm doing everything right, it's just how things go sometimes. On a side note, my brother killed a dandy this morning with his muzzleloader.

    Sucks that I have to work tonight, Sunday, and Monday. Good luck to you guys hunting, I'll be reading along.

    Had a 90" 8pt walk in under my stand. Bowed up on my decoy, circled then left. Coyote at 25 yds.

    man that is a dandy! Fixing to hit the shower and then head on over to a new lease our club picked up this year. Only been out to it once. Looked at a topo map and decided to go hunt a hardwood draw that leads up to the pine ridge. hope to at least put a doe on the ground. couple other guys who have been hunting over there said they have seen some decent bucks on camera.

    Just got word that my FIL's buddy killed my #1 target. The old 7 pointer is dead. I'm kind of disappointed. I'm gonna miss hunting that deer.

    Decided to still hunt this evening for a change. Been in the woods maybe 30 mins and a 8pt comes over the hill chasing two does and I mean hauling ***! Passed within 15 yds of me but no way I could have gotten ready for a shot in time. Crazy!

    I don't see doe with a bow :sad:

    She's huge....lots of meat...the drag damn near killed me :D

    Let year I asked if y'all wanted gun hunts in the LFTS thread and everyone said yes....but it is strangely silent...;)
