Big 8 just came by pushing a doe. 56 yards. He wouldn't leave her. So close.

I called them in and was settling my 30 yard pin on him when he takes off and started chasing her again.

I moved a stand about 10 this morning. I'm going to set it this afternoon. I call it ambush ally.

Finally up. Covered head to toe in insulated gear, pretty cold and windy. Will shoot a doe or buck this evening. Hope to see something anyway.

Heading out now. 24* with a little bit of snow on the ground. No buck tags left, so I am after the big old doe I saw Sunday.

Got down and came to hunt the field for the evening. Just watched a 2.5 year old walk across the field. I think he was looking for love.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I shot a fawn killer about an hour ago, and he crashed back towards the bedding area. Needless to say, I wasn't going to get him and pack his mangy *** out.

Definitely been an eventful day. I've seen over 20 deer so far going back and forth between bedding areas. I'm sure there will be at least 30 deer on the field tonight.

Even though I really want to put something on the ground, swaying back and forth in 15-20 mph winds and gusts to 30 is just not enjoyable. I doubt anything would have been up moving on the hilltop I was on anyway. Packed it in and now I'm back home to rest up for tomorrow morning. Good luck if you're out this evening!

Shot a doe. Steeper angle in this new tree. Pass through. She ran like a bat outta hell but got out of sight. Waiting an hour to climb down and assess the arrow.
