Snowing, cold and stone quiet. There are overnight tracks all around the stand I was in yesterday and I'm back in this morning. I'm ready to KILL me a deer today!

On the farm doing some last minute scouting getting ready for youth weekend. Found a nice fork horn locked down with a doe in the bean field that would be a great first buck for Dayne! Setting up a quick blind in an inside corner that should give us a shot at something in the morning.

I think deer take a class on How to Torment Hunters.

I haven't seen a mature buck since Wednesday morning. I think they are locked up during the day with their lady friends.

Well.. This isn't turning out the way I hoped so far. Nice wide 8 came in on the side of the hill.. The other 8 was on top and its putting them at eye level with me. O was thinking they would be crossing the bottom over here.. Not the top!

Just swapped camera cards on the way to work. On the IL/WI stateline, I've had my taget buck 4 times in front of my cam in the past 3 day between 3:00pm and 6:00pm, so there moving around here. WORK SUCKS!

Sat today out, with the work shutdown coming and losing an entire paycheck I could only go two more times. I opted to go with calm winds turning south and a small system bringing the potential for up to 2" of snow tomorrow day/night.

I've killed every buck I've gotten with a south wind of some sort, and have never gotten to hunt mid November with snow on the ground.

Going to head to the range and finish sighting in the .44 mag in prep for next weekends firearm season

My tree location was poor and I got cold so I'm going home.. I should have went in the woods this morn instead of hunting the edge of the bottom

I do believe they are locked down right now. That buck I saw this morning was standing over a doe that was bedded in the beans. They only moved when they decided I wasn't to be trusted.

Hail Mary was intercepted by 3 different groups of does that picked me off. I saw plenty of does this morning just no bucks
