    Got some good news. My best area is open tomorrow. It has been closed for three days. 26 degrees..up close to doe bedding. Seen 3 mature bucks in there over the past two weeks. All I can do to stack odds.

    Ahhhh.....so close! I was putting my climber on the tree and catch movement. It was a lone doe about 60 yards out. I sat and watched her for a minute and catch more movement. Here comes a hitlister, and he beds down with her for a few minutes. They get up and start coming by wide open at 40 yards. Just as I was putting tension on the string the wind starts swirling. And away they went. Damn it!

    Sitting in a new spot. Down in the gully where about 3-5 ridges meet. Can see a few of the better used trails and know where they are likely to use.

    Just have no clue when or where they are likely to come from. Every leaf that falls, and there's a lot of them, my heart skips a beat. One of these times its.going to be an actual deer.

    Camera shows they are here day and night but on the days I hunt I see nothing
