Those look like dream winds to me this season, been nasty 20+ with gusts to 30+ regularly around here. I'm hitting the woods tomorrow high teens gusting o low 20's, but am looking forward to Friday, currently supposed to be 8-10 and no gusts. I'm sure that will change though

 

Well finally made it back out for an afternoon hunt after a few days of hard work and repairs to my home... great sunny afternoon trying something alittlw different. .. hunting public land just on the out side of a swamp. Good deer sign in here its just alittle thick hopefully ill get lucky

Well the motocross bikers just rode 60 yards away from me. They made a pass maybe 100 yards down in front of me. I was hoping they would chase something to me but I think they might have ruined my afternoon. Wind and motorbikes make for a bad combination. That was the second pass.

Thats sucks... Ive had that happen to me...

 

Any idea of where we are in the Central, IL Rut? Last Thursday/Friday I thought it was one. Sunday-Tuesday is was very slow for me? Was a seeing chasing/seeking and not Rut? What does this up coming Friday/Saturday look like?

 

Well im not sure for central iL but I know my bowseason ends friday and rifle opens and ita just starting to pick up heavy here in ny should be a great weekend

 

Well so far I have seen no rut activity here in NE Ohio and have a ton of nocturnal pics on my camera

I think the shotgunners are gonna have a great weekend. Which I hoped they wouldn't

 

Well with this cold, I have to hope I can get something done this weekend. I have not bough shotgun tags two years in a row now. If all fails I might do a doe only hunt with the muzzleloader? But I sure don't want to.

 

The forecast is showing even colder temps for next week, and winds are getting better. I'm off next week and I've never had conditions like this. Should be real interesting!

 

I am going to my best spot on Friday and staying the night for Saturday morning. I don't mind the cold, but wind and rain and cold sucks! Like yesterday!

An all nighter in the stand hope its comfy

 

Just got set up take one step into tree here crashing look up here comes a 150" 12 @ 20yrds. Slowly pull up the bow nock an arrow and draw now at 40 starts to jog and won't stop. So frustrated right now
