Just heard a crack and looked up in time to watch a big tree get taken out.. Crack.. Crash.. Boom! I hope the tree I'm in fares better!

Well that's it for me. Not in the cards today. Oh well I have a hunt in the morning so hopefully then.

Good luck to those still with light to hunt.

Not the knot on the bow it came undone where it was tied to my bottom platform. Not sure how it had been tied on for two years.

I went before work today and had a nice buck walk by just at day break, just a little to dark for a shot. I couldn't get him in the peep. I will be out tomorrow morning also, I have been seeing bucks every sit in range. Just not mature enough. Good luck tomorrow and go kill a big one!

Cold front is just now nearing. Winds have switched to the west and temps will continue to fall. Currently 56, supposed to drop to 39 by 9 - 10am as the wind gusts pick back up.

Where to sit, where to sit

All set and waiting on daylight and deer. I deployed the Mr October without antlers to use as a doe decoy with some estrus all around her. Hope she lures one in.

Good luck today everyone. Be safe.

I had a great entrance this morning and I believe I have adjusted to where I can finish a good buck. Only issue is temps will rapidly rise to 65 by noon. Cold front supposed to push in Thurs with 20 degree temp drops. Should be two good days on which to finish my vacation.
