    Well.. I messed up big time.. Alarm went off and I didn't tell myself "feet on the floor".. So I wake up but 6:30 like ohh crap! Jump in the truck and rush to my dads because " better late then never" right? Start down the hill to the bottom and see deer.. Crap! Start glassing and see a really funky non typical, not really big but trash all over with a couple of drops... Then a really big 8 walks out with super tall tines he was really nice! Dooooh! Then some does wind me standing in the hillside, blow and everyone runs off! Dooooh! So I figured not much more damage can be done and went in and got in my tree.....

    All set up for my midday hunt!! Had a big doe at 10 yards when I was at the base of the tree, knocked an arrow, but she picked me off and blew out. Giddy up boys!!

    Don't feel bad man. I forgot my harness at the house. So needless to say I'm ground hunting today. I then forgot my phone in the truck. Just went and retrieved it a little bit ago. Haha.

    Changed stands for the rest of the day, the stand wasI setting in is really great for morning hunts, but sucks mid-day and afternoon. Got set up and let out a few light grunts, 2 mins later had a little fork horn come by missing one side. Got some decent video of him, it it would have been an old boy, think I would have been busted....

    Getting ready to wash my gear, should have stripped down at the truck but taking the front end loader and thinking he only went 50 yards I didn't.


    Anxious to get back out there as the front passes with about a 20-25 temp difference. I ain't skeered of a little rain.

    I didn't think I could hunt field edges. But when talking to my uncle last night I never realized he owned the 5 acres on the other side of his neighbor. It could be a gold mine of a staging area, it butts up he road and his drive/lane. Cut beans on the road side and cut corn on the drive side. It's where I tried to take the picture of the big buck Friday at sunset.

    Damn that sucks Remy! The end of the week should be awesome around our parts with the front coming through it should really get things popping!! Good luck today, nothin like taking one on the ground!!

    Nice buck just came by at 40.. First time in 5-6 years Ive seen three mature bucks on the public grounds I hunt. I just cant finish the job.

    Set up on public land in ohio...warm and windy. Saw a 100" buck chasing a doe on the drive in about a mile or so before I got here.
