The drought is over. I FINALLY saw a deer this evening. Biggest buck these eyes have ever seen. He was a huge 12 pointer. Couldnt get him any closer then 63 yards. Man that would of been one heck of a first deer!!!!!! Good luck to all and stay safe.

Up and showered and getting ready to leave the house. Really not feeling it this morning but I'm going any ways. Can't kill them from my couch. Planning an all day sit, but just have to see how the morning goes, supposed to get up to mid 60s today.....

In stand and all set up, fairly bright, not very cold, and a little breezy, but already have a doe under my stand.... Too bad it's 30 mins before legal light and probably 45 for shooting light.

Perched high in the Indiana woods! They were rutting fast and furious yesterday, passed a good 9. Changed stands again, back to where I killed my Doe. Had seen what I thought was a boader line buck the day I killed her. After logging my footage last night I got a good look at him on computer screen, definant shooter. I brought linemans belt just in case i need to make stand adjustment after hunt.

Well damn, had a doe come by, and then at least 1 buck that I seen, couldn't really tell how big, but big enough to see antlers in the dark, then heard something else come up running through the brush but couldn't see what it was....

Well the sun is rising on another morning in a tree stand. Supposed to be warm today so I imagine that will make the midday action even slower then it already is

Need about another 10 mins and it will be light enough to shoot. Still gotta something moving off to my left and behind me downwind from me. The doe and buck both came from that direction earlier and didn't wind me so happy about that, must be doing something right....

Heading upstate for a two-day hunt in Cayuga County with my Amish buddies in a few minutes. Will be sitting in a ravine where I shot my [archery] turkey two years ago. Big buck country.

My standards have been lowered, I have a couple of decent 8s that are now in trouble if they walk by. Would love for one of the big boys to walk out, but damn it I want a buck this year....
