Three more does just came through. Then sounded like they took off from something. Decent so far just no shot opportunity yet.

Well last hour or so of the day. Hopefully a doe decides to come out and brings her boyfriend with her.

Been covered in deer last 30-45 mins. 2 or 3 more does, a spike, and a nice young 8. Only had shot on spike so he got a pass. Had something over on neighbors grunting and making lot of noise. Didn't see what it was though.

Thanks everyone, what a pain in the arse he turned out to be.

Filled up the truck, dropped him at the processor and was going to head back out tomorrow. Then I looked at the forecast. Damn near 70 degrees and 30+ winds. Popped a beer instead.

I'll be back out Tuesday morning.

I'll post a short (hopefully) recap.

How he made it as far as he did I have no clue, but when we got to him coyotes were already closing in. You can't let them lay if you think they're dead, it's ridiculous.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Brett but it wasn't today. I did see a hammer of an 8 pt around 10:00 this morning only trouble was I wasn't in the stand, me and a buddy were checking out a sot for the afternoon and he was chasing a doe right where I planned on hunting tonight. This evening I saw one doe and had a buck come down off the ridge to me right at dark no idea what he was other than big bodied, my buddy missed a shot on a nice 10.

Here's what opted me to sit out tomorrow.

Gray shaded area represents sunrise/sunset but look at the top line showing the gusts. Gusting 30+ 11am until sunset. No thanks, winds are usually wrong on the low side
