Sun starting to poke through every now and again. Hopefully the deer liked the warmth as much as I did and come out to soak some in. Hopefully by 2 it will be mostly clear. Moving SSE

That spike went back behind me, couple minutes later he came back out fast trot tail up and looking behind him. No possible way he caught my scent. Thinking maybe coyote, but can't stop wondering if maybe a doe is bedded up with another buck watching her. Everywhere that isn't cut is just nasty thick.

Been in the stand for about 30 minutes. Fricking wind didn't die down at all!! Been covered up with turkey's since I got out here. Walking in, I walked up to about 10 yards of a huge flock! Sitting a new stand tonight, felt really good about it when I put it up, but now after sitting in it for a while, not so good.. Oh well, we will see..

    Just seen my first shooter.

Seen a deer get up and run up the slope to my forward left. 90% certain it was that same spike. I can see him through the trees looking towards the trail he originally came down. A few minutes later I seen a deer leap across the trail. Thought it was a young buck. It gets into the brush brush about 15 feet when I caught a glimpse of white antler back on the other side of the trail.

Then out he steps. I grunted And wheezed, had his attention but she took him away. There's currently a couple more deer, can't get good visual

Adrenaline flowing for the first time shaking like a leaf. I need more!

Sitting in a new spot this afternoon looking over a picked corn field bordering a bean field.

The only tree in a good location with good cover was a shag bark hickory. Ugh. I got here early and tore as much of the bark off as I could going up.

Fortunately I only had to get to 15 feet. I hate these trees.

2 hours left, that buck made it all worth it. Think the other two deer was that spike and another one. That doe must have been coming in.

I'm not going to guess on score, but I love when all you keep seeing is antler through the limbs to know where he's at. It never fails, they always head the wrong way. I had his attention for about 2 minutes.

I'm convinced they're not on full lock down yet, I won't be canceling my vacation unless tonight or tomorrow produce. Moon be dammed
