Been sitting in the blind since 5:45. Last NJ sit this morning then back to VT. Very successful week. I took a nice 6, my wife and daughter each took an antler less deer and my son took two antler less deer and a very nice 7 pt. The rut here has been in full swing, Bucks chasing everywhere. Freezers gonna be full this winter. Still two doe tags in my pocket. Maybe one will walk by in the next couple hours. Good luck everyone, frost on the ground, Nov 8, great time to be in the woods.

Biggest buck I've ever seen on this farm was cruising the bean field 20 minutes before daybreak when I got here. Pretty sure he went int the swamp. If he did and moves again he has two choices open field or right under my stand. I'm hoping for the latter.

Sick and in the tree. Can't believe I'm sitting with this much wind. Maybe I'll get lucky.

In stand, purposely came in a bit later. Moon was out the entire drive but clouds moves back in just as a I got to the property. Wind is pretty gusty, but has switched directions and I didn't bump anything that I know of.

Back down in the bottoms where I sat last evening.

    Good luck everyone

Legal shooting time, but clouds are going to push back the light about 15-20 minutes.

Regardless, I'll be covered with turkey shortly not sure I'd shoot one this early in the day though. They'll be here all winter.

Crud, did a quick scan to make sure nothing else had snuck up on me and turned back around and he was gone. Not sure which way he went. Think he went towards the ridge behind me. Absolutely no useful light right now. Ugh

I have a feeling I'm not gonna see a single deer this morning. The wind is swirling constantly.

This wind is nasty. Gusts more in the 35-40 range right now. Quiver took a ride but got caught in some branches, barely reached the nock of one of the arrows.

It's dead still here, you can hear every bird and squirrel from 100 yards out. Still no deer yet.

One deer just cut the corner of that hay field over 100 yards out....they often cut in towards me when that happens
