It was a decent morning, 3 little bucks, a yote, and some turkeys, but been pretty quiet the last hour now. Trying to decide if I want to give this stand all day, or move to a stand deeper in the woods...hoping for some good mid-day movement since there was a almost full moon last night with clear skies...

Absolutely no movement here. I cant tell you how many times ive been blanked Nov 5 and 6, only for the woods to explode on the 7-10.

3 years ago to the hour I was on a blood trail to my biggest buck to date.

Can't wait to get back out there Friday, hoping the NW wind holds true.

I have came so close the last 2 days. Yesterday i hunted till 3:30 until the rain came. I seen 7 bucks and 3 Doe's, 3 bucks were shooters and one of them bedded down with a Doe beside me in edge of thicket for 3 hrs at 40 yards. The woods were rocking yesterday. Today is slow, had a 110" 8 point come in at 20 yards, i see him alot! It went dry for awhile so I picked up the horns, rattled and 1 min later the same big 8 shooter from yesterday came in behind me and hung at 60 yards and just stared my way for 5 min. He was on high alert so i decided not to snort weeze when he walked off. Thinking he would have busted me drawing if he had come in. Playing it cautious with him. Woods have been dead for last hour.

I moved down the ridge tonight were I saw the big boy Sunday, on the edge of a thicket. Holy crap! There are rubs and scraps every were. Got up in a big oak with lots of cover. I got that feeling tonight that something is going to happen!

Good luck guys. I'm hanging with the little guy at the cabin today. Misting and raining. Supposed to get 2-4" of snow tonight. Neighbors have said its really slow in the woods today.
