Just had first two of the night. They were across the small creek from my stand. After last weekend and now I'm really thinking need a stand over there or move this one

Sitting out on the misty rain right now. I've seen 2 does, 2 fawns, and a small 8 so far.

Rained out. My wife was cold, wet, and ready to go. I wasn't gonna argue.

Pretty good last 45 mins or so. Had a doe and two small ones hang around all afternoon. They were annoying after a while since the doe kept staring me down. Had a nice young 6 pointer I tried calling in but he must not of been feeling like messing around because he turned and went other way. Now I got a small fork horn messing with some does about 200 yards in front of me. Got about 20 mins left so unless something changes quick no shot.

One of the does out in front of me is limping pretty bad so can't tell what's goin on with her.

1/2 way through my week, 2 more days and.... well, I'm going to shoot something if it lets me

Another big front bringing the winds Thursday, imagine we'll see another uptick on here tomorrow a that has been the theme thus far. day before the fronts have been pretty active.

checkin from my Illinois trip. Day 3.....I'll let the video speak for itself.

Don't forget to hit HD....and sorry for the vulgar language

Pretty much sums it up. tracked him for over 6 hours. lost the blood trail 700 yards into the search. grid searched for an additional 2 hours. through the thickest of thorns on hands and knees. all efforts were exhausted. feelin like a total DB right now.

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE SO FAR!!! I feel so out of the loop with crappy cell/internet service!

    That sucks!!

Going by the nock, cant really see the impact in that video, looks like a solid front leg shot. First thought was between the cage and armpit and if not outer leg area.

Defintiely rushed the shot a bit but haven't we all? Good luck the rest of the way, I'm sure that deer lives another rut

Sucks man don't let it get ya down too much. They're moving good around here so hopefully you'll get another chance. I've been seeing them chasing since Friday night and hasn't seemed to slow down.

Looked again today.. I know it was probably for nothing but I tried anyway. I am beyond bummed about this. That was a deer of 10 life times. May not be the highest scoring buck I will ever have the chance to shoot at but I can almost guarantee he is the widest buck I will ever mess a shot up on! I know that stuff happens and I shouldnt be too down but its hard. I guess I am going to get back on the horse tomorrow and see what happens! :bhod:

I seen this buck at 30 yrds (when I had a melt down and shot him in the shoulder) and at 25-30 yrds when we jumped him the next day... I would guess him at 24" min and maybe as much as 27" or 28" inside spread. No lie... :bash:
