Not looking great.. Found a so so blood trail then seen the nocturnal.. Headed towards it and bumped him.. Good news he wasn't moving very fast. Marked our last blood and backed out till morn!

Bad and good news I guess. Bad he isn't down, but good you know his direction and he has a tracker. Might be a good idea to sneak back in before daylight and glass the area in the direction he was last headed when bumped. Look for the lit nock in the dark and if seen wait for light and assess from there.

Good luck, hopefully he beds a last time before morning

Well up and at em again this morning. Day #2 of my little 5 day mini vacation. The wind is supposed to be, keyword being supposed, a little better today. Would love to see the farmer start cutting corn today, that would pretty well make my day and the next 3. Only thing I can think of that has killed my sightings this year, it's been windy and the deer are just staying in the corn and using it for cover instead of the woods. Or the deer just aren't there....

Shower then hitting the road, should be in the tree by 530, legal light is at like 607, but shooting light usually doesn't hit till about 620sh or so....

    Good luck boys and girls...

Im heading out boys. Havnt participated much in this thread this year, but ive been out probably 15-20 times. Passed on a few does because the camera situation wasnt good. Im filming again today but wont hesitate to shoot if a buck comes by that i like and i cant position the camera.

I'm up pounding mtn dew like its going out of style and getting ready to head back over to my dads and when my uncle gets there we are headed back out to hopefully find my buck! Wish me luck.. I may need it! Ohh and good luck this morning! May your bucks be huge and your arrows fly true!

dude....just called in a monster. He got hung up in the brush and wouldnt come out. He was thrashing trees. legit monster for me and these parts. crap

as soon as the sun rose I said dang it I should have set 30 yds more up ravine.....he came right through there tearing up trees. He started walking at 40. Called him with doe bleat. Took him. 10 minutes to cover 20 yds. Finally he came out and only offered me a chest shot and I of course wouldnt take it. On full draw for 30 seconds and the wind must have swirled or he saw me and he started backing up then walked off.......

20 inch spread.....mass......dang it. Very rare opportunity for around here.

Just getting light here. It's windy in the fields but I'm in a Killer spot and it's pretty calm.
    Expecting some action through here.
Good luck gents ( you too Tony )!

Well trying out the stand I shot my doe out of last year. Have not hunted this stand this year due to it being only about 50 yds from a house, new family in it this year with a couple of kids, a teenager and a younger one, so just haven't felt real confident in this stand being there has been more movement and noise then usual coming from the house. But this stand is only 40 yds from where I get the most pictures of the big boys.... Hoping maybe since it is a Monday, fam will be off to work/school....

On a down note, I grabbed the wrong damn charge cable this morning, got the one for my iPad instead of my phone, really wish Apple didn't have to use a special cable for there stuff when everything else takes usb minis, which I do have with me for my go pro and cam batteries....

The 8 that I thought I killed last week until I walked up to it just gave me a broadside 20 yard shot....

Is it wrong for a grown man to cry in the woods?
