I grabbed the card out of one of my cameras on the way in so I could look through them... but I proceeded to drop it from the tree. Luckily I located it with my binoculars already

Sitting in a big box blind watching a picked corn field and some crp with my son in Missouri for the youth season. Already saw 3 bucks cruising. He would have shot the one but he didnt want to stop.

Remembered the gloves, forgot the warmers. Brrrrrrrrrr

Slow start, think the squirrels froze to death. 8 am and nothing alive but some woodpeckers

20mph wind gust puts the temps in the low 30s. Wind may cause slow movement.

Same here Tony. Got up at 4am, exhausted, checked the forecast and saw rain and 15-20mph with gusts to 30 so back to bed I went. I can do one or the other but driving wind and rain, no thanks. I still have Tuesday to go out anyway.

Good luck to all that are out this morning!!

I haven't even seen a squirrel move in 2 hrs. Just too much wind. I'm giving it another 20, and heading in.

Just gave a coyote a haircut, he was skittish as all get out. Those bushnell cameras must make a noise. He walked in front of it and nearly came unglued.

Shot him through a bush so think it deflected low. Didn't see any blood, arrow or ground and not worth my time to look further. Lost a fletch off the quick fletch. So down to 3 arrows.

    The scene

I thought this was prime time... Didn't see a thing lastnight, and nothing but a woodpecker, and numb toes this morning. Trying to stick it out to 9:30, but probabably won't make it...

Squirrels came out about 8:15, coyote and my shot/getting down to get arrow scattered them.

Other two hunters said they were going to hunt until about 9. Thinking about changing it up around 9:30 unless I hear them leave before then.

Just want my first on stand deer encounter, not going to count the 1 second flash of *** opening weekend.

    Rough year thus far
