Well no luck for me. I saw 1 doe, 6 turkeys, and 1700 squirrels.. The doe nor the turkeys come into the death zone.

    Hitting the road shortly.

Note to self: If work decides to have the annual chili cook off on the day before a planned hunt next year, skip it. Or at the least taste only and do not go back for seconds.

On a side note, winds were forecast to be double digits with gusts into the 20's overnight.

Currently NW 6 mph. With any luck they'll hold off until 11 am. Wishful thinking but it's all I got

Th is morning is off to an interesting start. Get on the on ramp to hit the highway and th é rest a big doe standing 10 feet off the shoulder. She stayed put as I passed. Merge onto the highway behind an 18 wheeler and just as I switch lanes to pass he swerved from right lane to left shoulder nearly taking out the safety cables to help keep errant vehicles from crossing the median.

He corrects and returns to his lame. I make a go for it and as I'm half way down his trailer he's now on the right shoulder, I floor it before he can over correct and send me careening into the cables. I'm hoping someone else called him in or he took an exit.

By th é time I dug my phone out he wasn't in my mirror any longer and I already had passed the 55/72 split off.

Not sure if he was drunk or more likely falling asleep. Winds definitely haven't picked up yet to be blowing him around.

    Welcome to Halloween i guess
