    I decided to try a little rattling for the first time this season and nothing. Instead of thinking there are no bucks in the area I am choosing to believe the giant herd of bucks in the timber are all sissies.

    This Friday it's supposed to be a about 10-15 temp drop from the rest of the week. I'll be in the woods chasing Mr. Big for sure. Now if I could just get my buddy Dave to connect it would be a great season! I started teaching him how to hunt 5yrs ago, it's been a long journey. It's been a lot of fun watching him learn and grow but a lot of close encounters and near misses. I think he's a little worn this season, it would mean the world to him to connect. I'd almost, "almost" rather see him connect with a big doe than myself kill a big buck. Regardless it's good to be in the woods chasing these magnificent animals!! What a privilege. Next three weeks should be awesome.
