***OFFICIAL 2014 Live from the Stand Thread!!***

Leaving work now. Should be in the stand by 3:30. Supposed to be a warm weekend here but gotta try.

 

Well had a doe bust me as I drew on her this morning. Had 2 little basket racks that gave me 1849 different shots. No telling how many deer I could have on the ground if I was shooting every buck I saw. Going to be back up in the tree by 230. Past 3 days deer have been hitting the field at 3. Number 1 hit lister has been out here from 4-6 last two nights as well. Wind ain't perfect but it's almost non existent so we will see how that works out.

This is from my first time out last week. Didn't see any deer but sure enjoyed the 4 hours I spent in the tree stand!

 

Back out for this afternoon. Sitting on a Ridge in my climber. Hunting down here is a nice change in scenery from what I'm used to back in Michigan.

 

Settled in. Just sitting because I'm going through bowhunting withdrawl. Doubt I will see much. My only safe NW stand.

All settled in. Farmer cutting the corn in the field that runs along my woods edge. The trIl I sit over is all tore up from deer. Hope the combine pushes them thru tonight. Had to cancel cel drinks with the wife for this. She is great.

 

I been up for about 45 min.

 

Nah. Still working. Then home to watch the kids as my wife is going to a par tee. I'll be out tomorrow though.

 

Draw some blood tonight, boys! (And girls if applicable)

As of now I am on vacation for the next 18 days, so I will be checking in often..

 

I'm out again. Didn't bring a call with me as I'm just after a doe. Beautiful overcast night here in ohio. They should be moving

 

Decided to cancel my sit tonight... Still 70 degrees out.

Way too warm here in Missouri but in the stand right now hoping for any deer to show up. Or else I am going to use my bow to shoot me of these #$%&* flies!!!

 

Thanks for adding the girls in there! My husband always takes his vacation this time of year too. He starts his Monday.

 

Sitting in a stand here in Southern Illinois! Saw a bunch of scrapes on the way in! Hopefully a shooter will show up

 

Took one step out the door and said screw this I'm hitting the woods. In the stand now. 8 that I missed showed up right at last light last night... The big 10 comes out at 845 almost daily. Hoping the pre rut gets him up earlier this next week.

2 small bucks and doe. I ended up getting winded.

 

Doe feeding in the cut corn field kept me entertained for about 45 minutes. Big body came through after dark. Couldn't tell what it was. Tomorrow is another day.
