Just had another 1 /2 come in with a doe. She was working her way in and he started nosing her and ran her off the field.

Beautiful morning, all reports good for deer, wouldn't you know it, didn't see nothing, until I got out of the stand and in 30 secs spooked one off, couldn't see it as it was behind brush. Oh well, always next time. Definately a better fisherman than hunter! lol

 

I will be out this evening... 60 degrees with light/variable winds.

Got in the tree at 4:10. Checked the camera and have lots of smaller basket racks on it. Will have to pay attention tonight, wet ground means stealth mode for them.

 

Its rained all day, hunted on the front side of this front 2 days ago now hunting the back side of it.

Trees have turned here in west central IN.

 

Got in the stand about 20 min ago... The big 10 made an appearance at 845 last night. Hope he screws up and gets out early.

First sit of the year That I haven't seen at least one deer. Was only out 2 hours tho.

 

Mid 50s this morning. Heading in soon.

Just gave a doe a free pass. First big doe I have seen without yearlings. If it wasn't so early she would have got it.

 

Figured Id update this two days later (got down and got a call that my son was projectile vomiting.....fun two days there). I had a doe get up out of the beanfield she was bedded in at about 5 and mill around all night. There is standing corn behind me and to my left and right at a half hour left of shooting light it was like cockroaches when the lights go out. Literally around 20 deer came filing out of that corn. All does, fawns and little bucks though. I had a shot at over 9 different deer (already have meat in the freezer so they all got passes....until late season). It was one of the better hunts Ive ever been on.

 

Had one come through at 8:15.....couldnt see it.

 

Morning hunt over.
