Like an idiot I took a gazillion photos in the field but not any with bow...so ran to taxidermist to take pictures with cape/head and he'd already cut and cape in freezer...Fitz said it's fine so here are the pics from harvest and idiot move pictures of my stupid self at taxidermist. Hilarious part is the taxidermist said if anyone questions it they can call him...and wanted to take picture to "certify" I'm telling the truth

I felt like the shot was bad when I made it. I backed out for several hours and when I came back, I never found any sign whatsoever. No blood, no hair, no arrow. At the sake of potentially pushing more that night. I backed out again until daylight. I burned as many daylight hours as I could on the next day performing two grid searches of the entire property and as much of the neighbors property as they would allow to no avail. Fast forward to October 27 and I get a text from the land owner that he found my buck. He apparently survived over 24 hours before expiring on the bank of a pond on the property. I was very bummed that I lost the meat (that's my main motivation) but it was a huge weight off of my shoulders knowing that he wasn't still walking around wounded. I was able to snap a few pictures when I recovered what was left of him but the smell has prevented me from scoring until today. I'm uploading this from tapatalk so if it doesn't look right on the website, I apologize.
