Can I get an exception to the contest that will allow me to "clean it up" once during season? My season starts Oct 1, but I'm getting married Oct 12th and I've already been told that I must trim the beard for the wedding. She is at least ok with me have a beard at the wedding and has already said I can let it go wild during season, once the wedding is over. :)

I would normally be all about this and usually start my beard in the middle of August but I am getting married the end of September so I will be well groomed until then!

Yeah, I know. But since she wants to learn how to bow hunt, I'll make an exception for her. :)

Hopefully we spend some anniversaries in the stand, but I doubt she'll go for that. Only reason I'm getting married during season is that's the only weekend my sister can make it to the wedding. My family never thought I'd get married (I'm 39 and have held out thus far), so they all want to be there to witness it. lol. I can't pass up on a country girl that's a damn good cook, including venison, and wants to learn how to bow hunt. So I'll make a sacrifice, even if it costs me a day or two of hunting every year. At least it's not during the rut! LOL

I will be doing a short trimming about a week before the season and will post it as my starting point. Some guys have started, others will wait till the first day. Up to each :)

I cleaned up the sides for work last night. I don't have a picture yet, but it's starting to drive the Mrs. crazy.

Well, I guess that I'll get in on this too. I started mine about 2 weeks ago to be ready to elk hunt. My wife hates it and I love it.
