Off-set side bar mounting

    Would somebody tell me what the advantage of mounting a side bar at the bottom of the riser verses right below the string stop? Thanks

    I have no idea what a side bar is on a bow. Sorry for not responding sooner with a non-answer answer.

    I heard you have to mount them real close to the harmonic dampers.

    Are you talking about a side/rear stabilizer? If you are, the lower you put it from the pivot point (your hand) the more effective it'll be with less weight all else being equal. Lower center of gravity.

    They are for getting more stability & keeping the bow level. In my case it helps with hand torque. I use one when I shootings distance or really dialing in my sight pins. My bow doesn't float around as much when use one.
